Important information about the  class:
Yes, you’ve seen this information before!  You will need a 1/4″ foot WITHOUT a side blade.  A 1/4″ presser foot is necessary for successful piecing.  A presser foot that is ALMOST 1/4″ doesn’t work, changing your needle position doesn’t work.  Trying to “make do” with a regular foot is like trying to cook your Thanksgiving turkey in a toaster oven, you simply wouldn’t attempt that!  It’s time to buy the proper equipment to make your work more accurate which makes your piecing so much easier and your sewing time more pleasant.  This is a necessary piece of sewing equipment so everybody need to buy one.  Some machines (Bernina) require a brand specific foot but many brands are generic and require only an inexpensive, low shank foot or a Little Foot.  The 1/4″ foot with the side bar is for sewing strips ONLY.  The bar gets in the way for the kind of block we are piecing in this class so please bring the correct type of foot with you to class.  That’s a 1/4″ foot!!!  A 1/4″ WITHOUT A BLADE ON THE SIDE.  Have I made the point that you really do need to buy a 1/4″ foot without a blade on the side?
Here is a website Patti found that seems to have lots of machine parts: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/quilting-feet-set-low-shank-rj-207ns-1.aspx This link is for a set of quilting feet but individual feet are also available.  I’m sure there are many other sites you can Google for additional options.
When you register I’ll send the complete supply list as well as directions to the venue.  Please remember to bring a sandwich for lunch and we’ll have some chips, tea, coffee, and who knows what else to add to the lunch menu.
To register for the class, call Cindy Page, 704-376-2531 to reserve your space, then mail checks to 224 Woodleaf Road, Cleveland, NC 27013. Payment is required at the time of registration to hold your space in the class. A supply list with directions to the venue will be emailed to you upon registration.

Hope to see you then.
