Join us this Friday or Saturday for our “Pieced Curves” class.
Hello Quilters,
Where in the world have Cindy and Patti been?
We had a nice time in Hudson, NC at The Quilting as Art Expo. As I told you, The Jan Karon Museum is there.
We had a nice time outside of Columbia with The Threads of Time Quilter’s Guild. We did a regular “Show and Tell” program for them.
We went to Mooresville to the Applique Guild and to Lincolnton Quilt Quilter’s guild and did our Antique Textiles lecture and “show and tell”. We have collected old sewing tools and lots of old stitchery and clothing. We talk about the history of cotton manufacturing and changes in lady’s fashion through the years. We take several samples and pass them around so that you can get a good look at things.
Recipes
Everyone enjoyed the recipes at Christmas time. Most of these recipes come from a 1960’s church cookbook. I have presented just as they are written. Feel free to update things for today’s tastes.
I’ve been really good this summer eating tomatoes and cucumbers, but I”m craving some fall fall kind of food. I think my crock pot is coming out pretty soon.

Many of you know that Cindy and I live in the country. We are the 5th generation to live on this farm Just recently, due to heath issues, our cousins that ran the farm decided to retire. We are pleased to announce that Running T Beef will be expanding onto our farm.
\
This is Josh, Brandi, Wes and Will.
Running T is the new way to farm. They raise grass fed beef. We are excited about the improvements that they will make to our farm. This is farming the way it is supposed to be done.
They are currently taking orders for their Fall beef deliveries. Take a look at their website if you are thinking about beef for this fall/winter. They are taking orders now for beef to be ready by fall. It’s a little different from just running to the grocery store when you need something, but it’s worth the extra effort and planning.
