Hello Quilters,
We are almost ready for the sale. As you know, this sale is a fund raiser for the Creston Fire Department in Ashe Co., NC. We can’t fix everything that Hurricane Helene broke, but we can start with this one project. They need to transition from food and clothing to rebuilding their emergency services. You guys have donated so much stuff. There have been 10-12 ladies working for the past two weeks, (some for a month) cutting and folding and we still haven’t gotten through all the boxes. We will save some things for the Yard Sale/Fabric Sale in May. We are just so thankful for all the donations that have poured in from all over NC and SC. We have had donations come in from Asheville, NC to Myrtle Beach, SC and all places in between.
Not only have we had fabric donations, but we have had volunteer help show up and work. Several have driven at least an hour. Many have worked several days. This is a project that seems to have touched everyone’s heart. Thank you for all the help getting this sale going.
Plan on coming this Friday and Saturday. Our church is about 6 miles east of Statesville, NC on Hwy. 64. Plan to be here all day. Bring your patience. We are going to check you out as fast as we can. We will be taking charge cards, but
cash or check will be faster.
Hot dogs, drinks and cookies will be available on site.
Remember, this is a fund raiser. All the things that are for sale have been donated. Some things are missing a chunk here and there. We have priced things to sell.
Here is the link to our church website. It tells a bit about our objectives for this sale and information about the Creston Fire Department. More pictures and a “walk through” video.

How can you help?
1) Plan to attend the sale and shop.
2) Bring donations. Bring them with you when you come to the sale.
It looks like we will do a 2nd sale later in the year.
3)Tell your quilting and crafty friends about the sale. If you know anyone that
makes costumes, this would be a great opportunity to stock up on some unusual fabric at a very reasonable price.
Everyone that has walked into the Fellowship Hall has said,
“OH. MY. GOODNESS!”

Most of you know that Cindy and I live on a farm that has been in our family for 5 generations. We don’t know the first thing about a tractor but we know a good thing when we see it. Josh and Brandi Teague are using our farm to raise locally grown 100% Grass Fed Beef. This is the way farming should be done. They don’t use antibiotics or hormones. Pasture are regenerating under their watchful eye.
They ship beef all over the US. Check out their website, or find them on Facebook or Utube.
