Hello Quilters,
It’s going to be a beautiful week.  It’s getting cooler. It’s perfect weather to get a few things done in my yard and start a new quilting project.
Round and Round or 15 Degrees is our class this Friday or Saturday.  It’s not too late to sign up.

Hello Quilters,
Things are back to normal for us.  We enjoyed our time at the Durham/Orange County quilt show.  There were lots of beautiful quilts there.  There was even a section for oversized quilts. I’ve never seen so many king size quilts at a show.  Their boutique room was full of lovely things. Food and chocolate were plentiful in their hospitality room.  Our only observation was that the crowd seemed a bit subdued.  Everyone was carrying concerns about our neighbors in the mountains.
There are lots of efforts ongoing in the quilting community.  Many local shops are collecting pillowcases and quilts.          5 Little Monkeys in Weaverville and Quilt-N-Code in Burnsville are two shops that are reaching out to their community.
Myrtle Beach Quilters – We will be at Myrtle Beach next week for the Quilters of South Carolina Retreat at the Doubletree Hilton.  (3200 S. Ocean Blvd)  Cindy will be teaching class and I will be working in the booth.  We start on Thursday, Oct. 24 and go to Saturday, Oct. 26.  (Limited hours on Sunday)  Shopping area is in the exhibition space to the left of the hotel complex.  Schoolhouse Quilts will be there too.  I’m not sure what other shops will be with us.  Come and enjoy some “Retail Therapy”.  If you have any questions about the hours, etc, text me (Patti) at 704-807-6992.

Myrtle Beach Quilt Party
Mardell just posted the website for Myrtle Beach Quilt Party,  January 16, 17, 18, 2025.  We have taught at this event for many years and it is always a good time.  The website is mbqp.info.  Take a look all the classes that are being offered.
Cindy will be teaching Joseph’s Coat.  (She’s tired of Jack’s Chain, so she picked another challenge.)
I’m doing something easy.  I’m teaching the Sparrows quilt.
There are lots of other classes from which to choose.  Don’t wait to register, the classes fill up quickly.

Farm News

Runningtbeef.com

Most of you know that Cindy and I live on a farm that has been in our family for 5 generations.  We don’t know the first thing about a tractor but we know a good thing when we see it.  Josh and Brandi Teague are using our farm to raise locally grown 100% Grass Fed Beef.  This is the way farming should be done.  They don’t use antibiotics or hormones.  Pasture are regenerating under their watchful eye.
They ship beef all over the US.  Check out their website, or find them on Facebook or Utube.

Call Cindy – 704-376-2531 if you would like to order anything.
As most of you know, we are not a brick and mortar shop.  We are just a studio.

We are available by appointment.  Call us if you need directions.  We are located off I-40 between
Statesville and Mocksville, NC.
Our address is 186 Page Farm Road, Cleveland, NC  27013.
We are not anywhere close to Cleveland, NC, even though that is our mailing address.

Donkey News

It’s almost Halloween. Spooky things are happening.
Candy appears and then disappears.
I think the donkey barn might be haunted.

We still have a few spaces available at our Sanford show.  If you know of a shop that you think would benefit from our show, please encourage them to contact us.  We have always tried to feature local shops at our show, and this year there will be several shops from the WNC region.  Come and give these shops a hug by buying a yard of fabric or two.  The best help you can give them is by keeping them in business.
