Hello Quilters,
Where in the world have Cindy and Patti been?
We’ve been setting up our booth at the Asheville Quilt show.

This is how it starts.  We haul everything in.

Then you hang the quilts and fabric up for the backdrop.

Then you put your tables in place, set up the shelves and start putting out the fabrics.

Girls need some fun too.  We headed to Discount Shoes to do a little shopping.  We tried on a lot of shoes, but in the end, we each got a pair of new tennis shoes to work in tomorrow.

Then we headed over to our favorite Mexican restaurant. We hope to see you at the show.

Our Quilts

We always try to get something finished to put in this show. It’s always good to complete a project and get a critique.  Everyone loves to see quilts and it’s nice when people see your quilts and say, “I loved your quilt!’.

Cindy did a light version of Jack’s Chain.  She’s calling it Jack’s Sister.

Laura Davies quilted it.

Patti made this one.  It’s from her French General fabric collection.  The title is French Stars.

Laura Davies quilted it.

Patti has had this Ghastlies fabric by Alexander Hendry for at least 10 years.  She finally got it finished.

Laura Davies quilted this one too.

This one comes with creepy, crawly things.
No recipes this time.

Farm News

Many of you know that Cindy and I live in the country.  We are the 5th generation to live on this farm  Just recently, due to heath issues, our cousins that ran the farm decided to retire.  We are pleased to announce that Running T Beef will be expanding onto our farm.

This is Josh, Brandi, Wes and Will.

Running T is the new way to farm.  They raise grass fed beef.  We are excited about the improvements that they will make to our farm.  This is farming the way it is supposed to be done.
They are currently taking orders for their Fall beef deliveries.  Take a look at their website if you are thinking about beef for this fall/winter.  They are taking orders now for beef to be ready by fall.  It’s a little different from just running to the grocery store when you need something, but it’s worth the extra effort and planning.

Chemical free pastures
No antibiotics or added hormones

Pasture raised
Live-growing, Biodiverse Forage Pasture Finishing

Josh and Brandi can explain this better than I can, so sign up for their newsletter and check out their website.  https://www.runningtbeef.com  If you care about where you food comes from, I think this will interest you.  They ship meat all over the US.  We’ll be telling you more as things get started.

Donkey News

Lady Mary says,”Don’t worry, Mr. Carson.  Momma and Aunt Cindy will be back soon.  They said they were really excited about going to a place called Asheville.  There must be lots of carrots there.”
