This has been a pretty rough week. I’m finally feeling better. Momma, I’m happy to report has been better for several days.
A new year is about to begin. We have lots of shows to get ready for. We hope that you will attend and enjoy them too.
New Year’s Day was our Daddy’s birthday. He would be be 106 this year. Every year, after his cake, he would would smile and say, “I’m the oldest I’ve ever been.” We always went to our Aunt Helen’s for lunch that day. She always made Pecan Rolls for this meal.
Cream 1 1/2 sticks of butter and 8 Tbsp. of powdered sugar . Add and mix well – 2 c. plain flour. 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 Tbsp. water. Add 2 cups of chopped nuts. Roll dough into small finger shaped rolls and bake at 300 degrees until brown on the bottom. When done, roll in powdered sugar while warm.
