Hello Quilters,
Showtime will be here before you know it. I hope that Santa brings you lots of quilting stuff and lots of gift certificates to spend at the upcoming quilt shows.
Here’s a funny story – Our Christmas almost didn’t happen. Many of you know that I live in an old farm house. Last Thursday night, before the whole family was to arrive on Saturday, I awoke to a thud. (Not the clatter of 8 tiny reindeer!) I thought something was under my bed. I heard squealing and scratching and struggling. My panic passed as I realized that whatever it was was under the house, not under my bed. Then I smelled it – SKUNK!!! There’s not much you can do at that point. Luckily, whatever had happened had happened outside my house, not under my house, so a little airing out on Friday took care of everything.
Saturday was also our Mom’s 95th birthday. Every family member brought her a selection of chocolate bars which we combined into a huge box. We thought she would enjoy giving them away but so far she seems happy to keep them for herself.
This newsletter is going to be short and sweet. I’ll send you more show news next week. We have some great vendors this year. You can see the list for Sanford –

and for Statesville –

Enjoy this special time with family and friends. Enjoy the food. You can walk it off next week.
Many of you know that Cindy and I live in the country. We are the 5th generation to live on this farm Just recently, due to heath issues, our cousins that ran the farm decided to retire. We are pleased to announce that Running T Beef will be expanding onto our farm.

This is Josh, Brandi, Wes and Will.
Running T is the new way to farm. They raise grass fed beef. We are excited about the improvements that they will make to our farm. This is farming the way it is supposed to be done.
They are currently taking orders for their Fall beef deliveries. Take a look at their website if you are thinking about beef for this fall/winter. They are taking orders now for beef to be ready by fall. It’s a little different from just running to the grocery store when you need something, but it’s worth the extra effort and planning.
